The 424 Beach Ave foyer is the estates most recent make-over that resulted in the modernization of the foyer while preserving the old world charm found throughout the home. An extra wide wrought iron door commands the front entrance. A built in screen allows fresh air to circulate while maintaining security. The tiled floor resembles the classic inlay of tile and wood but is more durable. Beautiful wood paneling lines the hall.
The grand staircase of the foyer has been refinished several times over the estates 100+ year history. However, the evidence of the painstaking time to build the original stairs, and the preservation, are quite noticeable in the original, hand-carved Yule poles and the bottom, mid-point and top of the curved railings. The foyer spans up to the 2nd floor in a wrap-around style.
