Beyond the foyer is the large Parlor and the first stop within the estates walls. It features original wood beamed ceilings of 10’ and a wood-burning fireplace constructed of local Rochester stone. Paneling by a local craftsman surrounds the fireplace and matches the woodwork at the foyer.
As the center point of the estate, it connects the formal dining room, the library, office and exterior porch. Panoramic views of the mighty Great Lake Ontario welcome you home from your daily journeys while taking the stresses of the day out with the waves. The Parlor has been host to gatherings from as intimate as 10 to as many as 100. It is often the center point of the estate when its owners are not outside.
The view from the parlor is an unbelievable panoramic view out to the grounds and out to the sandy beach. No matter where you are in this room, it is as though the lake surrounds you and calms your senses in the waves of the water lapping against the shoreline.
